I am writing in response to your advertisement in The Metro. I would like to be considered for the position of full time family worker. I hope you find that my professional experience working with adolescents, along with my credentials, qualify me for the position at Hope House.

I hold a BEd from Birckbeck College, which has allowed me to understand and utilise concepts from child psychology and special education. Through my education, I have learned how to help students find healthy ways to creatively express their emotions within a disciplined, structured classroom.

At the Lady Margaret School in London, where I am employed as a part-time writing instructor, I work directly with troubled youth who are enrolled in an after-school creative writing workshop. In addition, regular classroom teaching has enabled me to gain experience working with students and their parents, providing assistance with behavioral and academic problems.

The enclosed CV further illustrates my work experience and education. I look forward to your call to coordinate an interview time, so I can better highlight my strengths as your next full time family worker.
